Read this clip from the article:

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dillon And Breanna Howard.

Hi Dillon and Breanna, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?

Dillon and Breanna both built their careers in the commercial construction industry, where they gained firsthand insight into the challenges crews face on a daily basis. It was during this time that they recognized a consistent and pressing need for a dependable dumpster rental service. Too often, job sites were delayed while waiting on dumpsters, and in some cases, crews were even sent home due to long lead times for replacements.

Driven by a shared vision to build something of their own—something meaningful they could one day pass down to their children—they began researching the industry. After two years of planning, and shortly after welcoming a new baby into their family, they decided it was time to take a leap of faith. They committed fully, embracing the “now or never” moment, and have not looked back since.

What began with a single truck and 10 dumpsters has quickly grown into a thriving operation with 45 dumpsters, two new trucks, and a dedicated team that includes two part-time employees and one full-time employee. With plans to continue expanding in 2026, Dillon and Breanna remain focused on both growth and community involvement.

At the heart of their business is a commitment to building a lasting legacy and delivering what they proudly call “the EWS way.” By prioritizing reliability, communication, and customer relationships, they’ve set themselves apart in the industry. Today, customers don’t just call to book a service—they call to ask when EWS is available, a testament to the trust and loyalty the company has earned.

EWS is more than just a dumpster rental service—it’s a company dedicated to improving job site efficiency, supporting local communities, and redefining what dependable service looks like.

Make dumpster delivery smooth and stress-free in Greenville, SC. Use this simple checklist to prep your site, avoid delays, and keep costs down.

          24 hours before delivery

Confirm your size, address, and placement spot (driveway, jobsite, or curb). If you’re in an HOA, verify any rules on placement, screening, or time limits. Pre-stage debris near where the dumpster will sit so loading goes faster.

           Clear, safe placement

Choose a flat, hard surface with 60–75 feet of straight approach. Move vehicles, trailers, and obstacles; note low branches/wires and steep slopes. If needed, set down protective boards for driveway-friendly placement.

           Access details for the driver

Share gate codes, special directions, and the preferred side for the door to swing open. Mark the spot with cones or a trash can. If rain is expected, have a tarp handy—water adds weight.

           Right-size for your debris

Light household junk is bulky; remodeling debris and roofing are weight-heavy. If you’ve got concrete, dirt, or brick, ask for a dedicated container and smaller size to stay within weight limits.

           Load smart, avoid fees

Walk in large/heavy items first, then fill gaps with smaller pieces. Keep a level load below the top rail, and keep prohibited items out (paint, liquids, chemicals, batteries, tires, propane tanks, medical waste, asbestos).

           Pickup made easy

When you’re done, close and latch the door, clear access for the truck, and request pickup promptly. Need more time or volume? Ask about extensions or a swap.

Renting a dumpster in an HOA community around Greenville, SC? Follow this simple checklist to stay compliant, avoid fines, and keep neighbors happy.

Step 1: Review your HOA guidelines

Look for rules on placement, duration, screening, and allowed hours. Some neighborhoods require prior notice or temporary barriers.

Step 2: Choose the right size & spot

Pick a size that fits your driveway without blocking sidewalks or mailboxes.

Use protective boards on residential driveways when appropriate.

Keep the approach straight and clear for safe delivery and pickup.

           Step 3: Timing matters

Schedule the container to arrive right before demo/cleanout so it’s in view fewer days. Request pickup as soon as you’re done.

           Step 4: Keep it tidy

Close the rear door when not loading.

Don’t overfill; keep a level load below the top rail.

Prevent windblown debris—bag lighter items and consider a cover if it’s breezy.

Step 5: Know what can’t go in

Prohibited items typically include liquids, paint, chemicals, batteries, tires, and propane tanks. Ask us before tossing unusual items.

Clearing a home in Greenville, SC? Use this step-by-step plan to simplify estate and moving cleanouts with the right dumpster size, loading strategy, and timeline.

          Why a plan matters

Cleanouts can feel overwhelming. A clear order of operations (sort → stage → load → remove) keeps the process moving and prevents rework.

           Step 1: Pre-sort before delivery

Create three zones: Keep, Donate/Sell, and Toss. Box and label to reduce handling later. Photograph donate/sell items for quick listings.

           Step 2: Right-size your dumpster

10–15 yd: condo/apt, partial room cleanouts

20 yd: average single-family home declutter

30 yd: multi-room or full estate cleanout

Tell us your timeline and volume—we’ll help size it accurately.

Step 3: Stage near the drop spot

Move “Toss” items within 15–20 feet of where the dumpster will sit. Clear cars and obstacles for a straight approach.

           Step 4: Load efficiently

Start with bulky/heavy items (dressers, sofas), then fill gaps with bags/boxes. Keep the load level below the top rail to avoid overage.

Step 5: Final sweep and pickup

Walk each room, grab stray items, close the dumpster door, and request pickup. If you’re still sorting, ask about extensions or a swap.

Replacing a roof in Greenville, SC? Use this quick guide to choose the right dumpster for shingles, underlayment, and decking—without overloading your container.

          Why roofing debris is different

Shingles are dense. Choosing the right size isn’t only about volume—it’s about weight limits so you don’t get hit with overage fees.

           Quick sizing guidelines

Small roofs (10–15 squares, one layer): 10–15 yard dumpster

Average roofs (16–25 squares, one layer): 15–20 yard dumpster

Larger roofs (26–35 squares, one layer): 20 yard dumpster

If you have multiple layers, add capacity or call us to size it safely.

Shingle weight basics (rule of thumb)

Asphalt shingles commonly range 2.5–4.0 lbs per square foot (roughly 250–400 lbs per “square” of roof area). Older/heavier or multi-layer tear-offs weigh more.

Pro tips for smooth roofing hauls

Stage near the driveway: Minimize carrying distance for the crew.

Load evenly: Keep debris level with the top rail.

Keep it clean: No liquids, paint, propane tanks, or batteries mixed in.

Ask about wood/decking: Significant sheathing replacement may change the size you need.

Renting a dumpster in Greenville, SC? Use these seven tips to cut costs—without cutting corners—on your next cleanout or remodel.

          1) Choose the right size (not just the cheapest)

Too small means extra hauls; too big means unused space. Tell us the project; we’ll right-size it.

           2) Time your delivery

Have your debris ready. A shorter rental window can cost less—ask about included days and extensions.

           3) Stage debris before drop-off

Pre-stacking junk near the placement spot speeds loading and reduces the chance you’ll need more time.

           4) Load efficiently

Put bulky/heavy items in first, then fill gaps with smaller items. Level the top to stay under the fill line.

           5) Avoid contamination

Keep liquids, paint, and hazardous items out to prevent contamination or rejection fees.

           6) Share with a neighbor

Split a larger dumpster and divide costs—perfect for community cleanups or side-by-side renovations.

Perfect for home cleanouts

Dumpsters are the simplest way to clear space quickly during moves, estate cleanouts, spring cleaning, or pre-listing prep.

           Common “Yes” items

Furniture (couches, tables, mattresses where allowed)

          Clothing, toys, household junk

Wood, drywall, cabinets, non-hazard construction debris

Yard waste (leaves, branches, brush—no dirt/concrete unless pre-approved)

           “Ask first” items

Appliances/electronics: Some are fine; those with refrigerants or large TVs may require special handling.

Roofing shingles: Totally fine—just tell us roof size so we can match a weight limit.

Heavy materials (brick, concrete, dirt): Often require dedicated containers and limited fill levels.

Prohibited items (for safety & regulations)

Paint, solvents, oils, fuels, or any liquids

          Chemicals, pesticides, pool chemicals

          Tires, car batteries, propane tanks

Medical waste, asbestos, and anything corrosive or flammable

           How to avoid extra fees

Keep the load below the top rail and within the weight limit.

Close and secure the door before pickup.

Cover the dumpster if rain is forecast—water adds weight.

           Make your cleanout stress-free

Stage items near the drop spot, load large items first, and fill gaps with smaller junk. You’ll maximize space and minimize trips.

Not sure which dumpster size you need in Greenville, SC? Use this quick guide to match 10–30 yard dumpsters to cleanouts, remodels, roofing, and construction.

          The quick answer

The right dumpster size depends on your project scope, the type of debris, and how fast you want the job done. Choosing correctly saves you money on extra hauls, prevents overloading, and keeps your site clean and safe.

Common sizes (and when to use them)

10-Yard Dumpster: Best for small cleanouts (closets, a single room), light DIY projects, or a few pieces of bulky furniture. Fits most driveways.

15-Yard Dumpster: Good for apartment/garage cleanouts, small kitchen or bath remodels, and minor landscaping.

20-Yard Dumpster: Our most popular “just right” size for whole-home decluttering, roofing shingles on average homes, deck removals, and mid-size remodels.

30-Yard Dumpster: Ideal for large renovations, new construction, multi-room cleanouts, or commercial projects with bulky debris.

Think in terms of debris type

Household junk & furniture: Go 15–20 yards to avoid overfilling.

Remodeling debris (drywall, cabinets, flooring): 20–30 yards depending on scope.

Roofing shingles: Ask us about square footage and layers—we’ll size it to your roof.

Yard waste: Branches and brush are bulky; 15–20 yards usually works.

           Weight limits & loading tips

Don’t exceed the fill line—level loads travel safer and avoid extra fees.

Load heavier items first to keep weight even.

Keep prohibited items out (paint, chemicals, batteries, tires, and liquids).

           Driveway-friendly placement

We use protective boards on most residential deliveries. Tell us about tight turnarounds, low trees, or steep slopes—we’ll recommend the safest spot.

           Not sure? Ask us.

A 2-minute call can save you a second haul. Tell us what you’re tossing and we’ll size it right.
